  • 1½ cups Water (for the tea)
  • 1½ cups Cooled hibiscus tea
  • 1½ cups Frozen mixed berries
  • Apple, diced
  • ¾ Lime, juiced
  • ¾ sprig Mint, leaves only (optional)
  • ½–1 cup Plain yogurt (optional, for a creamier finish)

Directions

  1. 1

For the hibiscus tea: Bring the water to a boil.

  2. 2

Pour the boiling water over the Hibiscus Flower (and Lavender, if using) in a heatproof bowl or measuring cup.

  3. 3

Let the tea steep for 10 minutes, then strain into a clean container and discard the flowers.

  4. 4

Chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes, until cool.

  5. 5

For the smoothie: Add the cooled hibiscus tea along with the frozen berries, diced apple, Honey Powder, lime juice, and mint leaves to a blender.

  6. 6

Blend until smooth and frothy. Taste and add a little more Honey Powder if you’d like it sweeter.

  7. 7

For a creamier finish, blend in ½ to 1 cup of plain yogurt. Makes about 3 cups.
