Cocoa Chai Brandied Cherries
Ingredients
- scant ¼ cup Water
- 1⅓ Tbsp. Granulated sugar
- ⅔ tsp. Lemon or lime juice
- 1 Muslin bag
- ½ cup Brandy
- 6½ oz. Fresh or frozen cherries, washed, pitted, and stemmed

In a small saucepan, bring the water and both sugars to a boil, stirring until the sugars dissolve.

Place the Chai Spices in a muslin bag, tie it shut, and drop it into the syrup.

Stir in the brandy and cherries. Bring the mixture back up to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Pull from the heat and stir in the lemon or lime juice.

Transfer the cherries, syrup, and muslin bag to a Mason jar. Let cool, uncovered, then seal and refrigerate for at least 48 hours.

After 48 hours, fish out the muslin bag.
