Ingredients

Pine & Pepper Spices

2 Tbsp. Black Onyx Chocolate Sugar

  • scant ¼ cup Water
  • 1⅓ Tbsp. Granulated sugar
  • ⅔ tsp. Lemon or lime juice
  • 1 Muslin bag
  • ½ cup Brandy
  • 6½ oz. Fresh or frozen cherries, washed, pitted, and stemmed

Directions

    In a small saucepan, bring the water and both sugars to a boil, stirring until the sugars dissolve.

    Place the Chai Spices in a muslin bag, tie it shut, and drop it into the syrup.

    Stir in the brandy and cherries. Bring the mixture back up to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Pull from the heat and stir in the lemon or lime juice.

    Transfer the cherries, syrup, and muslin bag to a Mason jar. Let cool, uncovered, then seal and refrigerate for at least 48 hours.

    After 48 hours, fish out the muslin bag.
