  • 3 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 3 cups Chopped sweet onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1½ tsp. Salt
  • 3 lbs. Ground turkey (lean ground beef works nicely too)
  • 3 cans Pinto beans (15 oz. each)
  • 3 cups Water
  • ¾ cup Frozen corn

Directions

  1. 1

Warm the olive oil in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat.

  2. 2

Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Stir in the salt and Extra Coarse Black Malabar Pepper, then add the ground turkey. Cook, breaking the meat up with a spoon, until it's no longer pink.

  4. 4

Add the beans, Tomato Powder, water, Mild Chili Powder, and Old Market All-Purpose Seasoning and stir to combine.

  5. 5

Bring to a low simmer and let it cook gently for 20 minutes, stirring now and then.

  6. 6

In the last 5 minutes, stir in the corn so it just warms through. Makes 6 to 9 servings.
