  • 2 to 3 lbs.Chicken drumsticks, drumettes, or wings
  • To tasteSalt & pepper for seasoning
  • ⅓ cupSpicy brown mustard
  • ⅓ cupHoney
  • 3 Tbsp.Dark brown sugar
  • 2¼ tsp.Corn starch

Directions

  1. 1

Pat the chicken dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Drop the pieces straight into the slow cooker.

  2. 2

Add the mustard, honey, brown sugar, Golden Honey Mustard Rub, and Crushed Aleppo Chiles, then use a spatula (or your hands) to toss everything together so each piece is well coated. *For a little less heat, use ¾ tsp. Aleppo chiles instead of the full amount.

  3. 3

Set the slow cooker to low for 3 to 4 hours. You want the chicken very tender but not falling completely off the bone — a fork should slide in easily.

  4. 4

About 15 minutes before serving, whisk the corn starch into a couple tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the sauce. Bump the heat to high and let everything bubble and thicken into a glaze.

  5. 5

Spoon the sauce over the chicken to serve. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
