  • 6–8 lbs. Chicken drumsticks
  • To season Salt & pepper
  • 1⅓ cups Ketchup
  • 1⅓ cups Molasses
  • 4 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 4 Tbsp. Water (to mix with the Worcestershire powder)
  • 2 Tbsp. Corn starch

Directions

  1. 1

Season the chicken. Sprinkle the drumsticks generously with salt, pepper, and a few shakes of Classic Garlic & Onion Blend.

  2. 2

Lay the chicken into a large slow cooker.

  3. 3

Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the ketchup, molasses, Dijon, the Worcestershire mixture, corn starch, and Smoky Sweet BBQ Chicken Rub until smooth.

  4. 4

Pour the sauce over the chicken and use tongs (or your hands) to turn each drumstick so it's well coated.

  5. 5

Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, until the meat is very tender and pulling cleanly from the bone.

  6. 6

Just as good cold the next day — pack a few for your next picnic. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
